Worship is the reason that we were created, it is our highest calling and we will be spending eternity in total adoration of our great and glorious King. Our passion in the Creative Arts department of On The Edge Christian Centre is to create an atmosphere that is easy for the church to enter into the Presence of God, with both boldness and a deep sense of reverence. We serve a God who is our closest friend, and yet also beyond compare in majesty, glory and holiness, and He deserves to be worshiped as such. We hold regular weekly rehearsals as well as training days. Auditions are held quarterly for people wanting to join the team. Intercessory Group Time and time again God gives his church the mandate to pray and to intercede. 2Chronicles7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. How many times did Moses have to intercede for Israel that God would not utterly destroy them, because of their idols and sins. And every time God showed mercy instead of judgement. God is looking for the prayers of his people. He wants us to pray and seek his face, for the prayers of the saints is like incense before God. In Isaiah God said he was looking for a intercessor , but found none , therefore his own right hand brought salvation. Jesus Christ who God raised up, a prophet like unto Moses who is interceding for us at the right hand of God. What an example we have who is still interceding for us daily. Let us intercede like never before and see change come in our land. 1Timothy 2 :1 I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, be made for all men; for kings and all that are in high place; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; who would have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth. I am Pastor Bevan . I lead the men’s ministry – Band of Brothers (B.O.B) Our vision is to bring together men of the church to and any men not in the church to see their destiny fulfilled in God. B.O.B. meets once a month with a variety of social events such as bowling, golf, go-carting, fishing etc. Activities which brings men together both socially and spiritually. It is important for men to connect as men, build relationships and break down walls men seem to put up . My desire is to get behind those walls and knock them down and see God minister to the real needs which often goes untouched. God has a destiny and purpose for everyone of us.My desire is to see men reach that destiny. In addition 67 orphans are sponsored by church members. Missions to Africa are held annually. Each year we get the opportunity to support pastors and churches. We share the gospel and get to love the unloved and needy. We see the joy it brings and God's love that heals. We come to notice that a little from our side, makes a big difference on their behalf.Our trip to Uganda will be leaving on the 13/10/09 . Please contact the office if you want to join us. WOW - Women Of Wisdom My name is Pastor Sandy Greenwood leader of women of wisdom . We meet every second Wednesday at the church 305 Taylor Street at 10.30am. Our vision is to see women come into their rightful place in God. God says "He has a plan for us and he gives us a hope and a future". Our desire is to see women set free to be who God has called them to be . We have W.O.W meetings every week . They include worship , teaching, sharing, lots of fellowship and coffee mornings where we reach out to the community. My desire as Pastor to the women is to see them step away from things that have hindered them , to build relationships, to encourage and teach them that God will never let them down . First Steps is a great foundational course for new Christians called “The Road Ahead” by Ken Legg. Even in teaching this course I am finding that I am being enriched even more myself. That God’s word for you ...the more we learn the more we see. It is so important to start right in our walk, because it’s hard to build on a shaky foundation. Even if you’ve been a Christian for a while, but find yourself struggling, I’d recommend this as a valuable resource to re-tune, re-polish, re-focus and power on to victory in Jesus. Bless you all. On The Edge Children's Church We believe that the children are the future of the church , and by providing the right learning environment we can give each individual child a fighting chance to grow in the things that God has for their lives. We have two rooms for children 3 to 12 years old, where we strive to maintain an environment that inspires the children with stories and lessons about God, Jesus and the Bible, music, arts and craft activities, and games to trigger interest and learning. We invite all children who attend or visit our church to come and join in with us. Jenny and Steve Pearson Mainly Music Mainly Music is an exciting new music program for children of the ages of birth to 5 years. Each music session aims to provide children & adults with a fun music time & opportunity to connect with each other. Mainly music will be held Friday each week @ 10:00am starting 5th Feb with a 30 minute music session with morning tea & play time to follow.
